Svazek přináší informace o uspořádaných fondech vědců a vědeckých institucí. Dvanáct osobních fondů a dva fondy institucí jsou podchyceny v podobě rozšířených úvodů k inventářům, které přinášejí biografii původce fondu či popis vzniku a funkce instituce a podstatné informace o obsahu fondu a přínosu jeho dokumentace především pro historické bádání. Dalších 21 osobních fondů a 10 fondů institucí je přiblíženo anotací, obsahující ve stručnosti zásadně stejné informace. Svazek je doplněn rozšířenou zprávou o činnosti Archivu Akademie věd ČR.

The collection brings information on processed personal papers of scientists and scholars and of record groups of institutions. Twelve personal papers and two fonds of institutions are depicted in a form of enlarged introductions to the inventories bringing always a biography of a person or a description of origin, orientation and history of the institution, and substantial data on the relevant documents, and their possible contribution above all for the historical research. Other 21 personal papers and 10 fonds of institutions are elucidated by the simple annotation shortly comprising the same information. The publication is complemented by the enlarged report with several supplements on the activity of the ASCR Archives in 2003.
