Die Professoren der Prager Deutschen Universität fand nach dem Krieg relativ schnell neue Wirkungsstätte. Dabei spielte eine Rolle der soziale Status eines Professors, persönliche Kontakte, das gemeinsame Trauma der Vertreibung und der kalte Krieg; eine zwielichtige politische Vergangenheit war hingegen kaum von Bedeutung. Ausschlaggebend war jedoch, mit den Worten von Karl Valentin Müller, also jenes Prager Rassenforschers, für den auch Josef Pfitzner als Wissenschaftler nur verachtende Worte finden konnte, die "... praktische ... Standessolidarität der Hochschulen".

Professors of the Prague German University found new places of work rather quickly after the World War II. Their social status, their personal contacts, common trauma of the expulsion and the cold war played role; on the other hand their split, ambiguous politic past was hardly important. There was, however, another crucial moment – as Karl Valentin Müller, also the Prague "Rassenforscher", i. e. the race-researcher, whom even Josef Pfitzner saw as a scientist with scornful eyes, said – the ".. practical professional solidarity of universities".
