Časopis Matice moravské patří k historickým časopisům s dlouholetou tradicí. Byl založen již v roce 1869 a vycházel s výjimkou let 1883–1890 a posledních let nacistické okupace nepřetržitě. Časopis s mezinárodní redakční radou, jejímiž členy jsou renomovaní badatelé z Francie, Maďarska, Německa, Polska, Rakouska, Slovenska a Spojených států, se zaměřuje především na vydávání vědeckých studií a článků, v nichž jsou předkládány nejnovější poznatky spjaté s dějinami Moravy, českých zemí a střední Evropy. Od meziválečného období je Časopis Matice moravské recenzovaným periodikem. Vychází dvakrát ročně, přičemž rozsah jednoho ročníku se aktuálně pohybuje okolo 600 tiskových stran. Vydavatelem časopisu je Matice moravská. Časopis je evidován v databázích Scopus, European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS) a v Seznamu recenzovaných neimpaktovaných periodik vydávaných v České republice.
Starší ročníky časopisu jsou v plném rozsahu k dispozici na stránkách Moravské zemské knihovny v Brně, novější (od roku 2006, s výjimkou posledních tří ročníků) také přímo na webových stránkách časopisu.
Journal profile
The Časopis Matice moravské is an historical journal with a long history. It was founded in 1869 and has been published continuously since then with the exception of the years from 1883–1890 and the last years of the German occupation. This journal has an international editorial board whose members are reputable researchers from France, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Austria, Slovakia and the United States, and is focused in particular on the publication of scientific studies and articles presenting the latest findings associated with the history of Moravia, the Czech Lands and Central Europe. Since the inter-war years the Časopis Matice moravské has been a peer reviewed publication. It comes out twice a year, with the annual content currently extending to some 600 print pages. The publisher of this journal is the Matice moravská society. The journal is registered in Scopus, European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS) and in the List of Peer-Reviewed, Non-Impacted Journals Published in the Czech Republic.
