West Bohemian Historical Review (WBHR) is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Department of Historical Sciences of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen in cooperation with the Department of History of University in Hamburg. The journal focuses on the publication of studies of world history. The periodical is open to contributions from historians with any specialisation or methodological focus. The journal’s aim is to pose questions for wider international collaboration of communities of history professionals and to try to initiate interdisciplinary dialogue. We therefore hope that West Bohemian Historical Review will be amongst the most sought-after forums dealing in the study and interpretation of history.

 

Since October 2015 the journal has been included in the prestigious European database of scientific journals ERIH PLUS (European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences).

 

Since August 2019 the journal has been included in the prestigious European database of scientific journals SCOPUS.

 

The journal was classified on the list of reviewed scientific journals of the Research, Development and Innovation Council of the Czech Republic.

By sending an article to the editorial office of the Journal, the author expresses his/her consent to publishing of the author’s contact data together with the study in case of positive peer review procedure and acceptance of the article for publishing; the data will include: postal address of the author's working centre and contact e-mail and they will be forwarded also to the relevant scientific databases in which the Journal will be indexed.
