    AnotaceDer Aufsatz stellt ein apologetisches Werk des Prokop aus Neuhaus dar, das ist heute unter dem Namen „Weshalb die Menschen nicht durch Gewalt zum Glauben gezwungen werden sollen“ bekannt. Das Werk entstand vermutlich schon nach 1474 und wurde im Jahr 1508, in der Reaktion auf die Verfolgung der Brüder-Unität, gedruckt. Der Kern des Werkes ist eine Kritik von solchen Stimmen, die verteidigen die Anwendung der Gewalt in der Sache des Glaubens zum Zweck der Ausrottung der Ketzerei.
    Překlad anotaceThe article introduces the apologetically approached work of Prokop of Jindřichův Hradec, nowadays known under the title “Proč lidí k víře mocí nuceni býti nemají” (Why Authorities Shall Not Compel People to Faith). The treatise was probably written already some time after 1474, and in 1508 it was printed as a reaction to the ongoing persecution of the Unity of Brethren. Its main topic is the criticism of all voices calling for the use of violence pertaining to religious issues with the aim to eradicate heresy.
