Geometrical theories can be characterized using Wittgenstein’s notion of pictorial form. The birth of non-Euclidean geometry is tied to the introduction of a new pictorial form—the interpretative form. Kant's philosophy of geometry can be interpreted as a reconstruction of geometry based on another of these forms—the projective form. Kant's philosophy is thus a correct reconstruction of such theories as projective geometry; and not only as they were practiced in Kant's times, but also as architects use them today.
