Anotace	Masaryk ist von wichtiger Bedeutung nicht nur für das nationale, kulturelle und politische Verständnis der tschechischen Identität aber auch in der Beziehung zur Auffassung der Wissenschaft. Obwohl Masaryk kein Positivist war, beeinflusste er wesentlich die Annahme des Positivismus in dem tschechischen Milieu und die Entstehung der spezifischen tschechischen Form des Positivismus.
Překlad anotace	Masaryk has a substantial meaning not only for the national, cultural and political understanding of the Czech identity, but he represents a key in respect to the attitudes to science as well. Although Masaryk himself was no positivist, he influenced the acceptance of positivism in the Czech milieu and the rise of the specific Czech form of positivism.
