Middle Palaeolithic Human Activity and Palaeoecology: New Discoveries and Ideas
Comparison of these two sites of different cultures that occur in the same microregion, marked by advantageous conditions that can be reconstructed, provides an opportunity - despite all the problems associated with the state of preservation and means of investigation - to consider the similarities and differences in a whole series of aspects of the cultures and lives of these Middle Palaeolithic hunting communities. It also allows for more general consideration of the lives of these ancient peoples, and for testing the potential for the interpretation of archaeological data.
