Anotace	The paper deals with possibilities of analyzing the topic of literature within Wittgensteinian framework. The Tractarian metaphore of a "picture", though failing as a tool for analyzing language as a whole, proves itself to be more appropriate in the case of literature, than is the notion of "language game", at least in the later Wittgenstein sense of something able to "hold one captive".
