    AnotaceThematisch rückt die nachfolgende biographische Studie die Persönlichkeit des Brünner Juristen, Ökonomen und liberalen Politikers Otto Lecher in den Mittelpunkt, dessen berufliche Tätigkeit in der Brünner Handels- und Gewerbekammer sowie dessen politisches Wirken innerhalb der Deutschen Fortschrittspartei Mährens diesen unmittelbar mit vielen sozialen Problemen in den letzten drei Jahrzehnten des Bestehens der Habsburgermonarchie in Kontakt brachten. Lecher kamen seine juristische Ausbildung, die enge Verbindung mit der ökonomischen Praxis sowie die Fülle an Möglichkeiten zur Einbringung seiner Fähigkeiten in der aktiven Poitik zugute.
    Překlad anotaceThis biographical study deals with Otto Lecher, the lawyer, economist and liberal politician from Brno. Author focuses on Lecher’s professional work in the "Brünner Handels- und Gewerbekammer" and on his activity in the Moravian German Liberal Party. Lecher occupied himself with the social problems that accumulated during the last three decades of the standing of the Habsburg Monarchy. He drew on his juridical education a connections with economic sphere. At the same time he had the opportunity to put his ideas into political effect.
