    AnotaceVorgelegte Studie präsentiert Ergebnisse, dass an der Gründung von Stuftungen nahmen vor allem Mitglieder des Bildungsbürgertums teil. Die Unternehmer waren gewiss nicht unbemittelt. Den Mäzenen gig es nicht um die soziale Herkunft, allmählich nahm auch das nationale Moment an Bedeutung zu (z.B. Tschechische Nationalrat). In den 70er Jahren des 19. Jahrhunderts war diese Tatsache noch nicht allzu evident. Diese Studie präsentiert die Stiftungen und andere Quellen der Finanzierung des Studiums.
    Překlad anotaceThe authors analyse the social background of patrons and emphasise the importance of educated and wealthy bourgeoisie, white-collar workers and members of the independent professions. The proportion of industrialists was relatively modest, as well as that of the aristocracy and the clergy. Naturally, the middle classes benefited most from these foundations. In the course of the 19th century (from the 1880s onwards) there emerged ever increasing nationalist divisions (The National Czech Council). The other part of this study deals with the circumstances of undergraduate students and their potential sources of income.
