Some coal samples were collected in 2007 near Erigavo. On the base of palynological analysis the Jurassic age is suggested for examined coal. Content of ash of tested sample was 71,24% so that the sample is classified as a carbonaceous siltstone. The reflectance of huminite is RN = 0,33 %.
