The apparent binding constant (Kb) of the B18C6-NH4+ complex in a mixed binary hydro-organic solvent system, methanol-water (50/50, v/v), was determined by ACE, whereas the structural characteristics of B18C6-NH4+ complex were calculated and described by DFT.
