Reconstruction of the sedimentary paleoenvironment was supported by mineralogical and paleoichnological analysis.The CORBs range from the Albian to the Lower Paleocene. The CORBs reached their maximum extent during the Turonian. The CORBs were terminated by increased influx of terrigenous organic matter.
