The technology can be also used for the closure and tightening of admittance of surface and subsurface spaces in mines. The new technology is based on using of special large-volume bags and mattresses, made of highly firm fabric and filled hydraulically by a mixture of water and an environmentally acceptable, locally available loose material. Filling of the bag is performed by a mobile slurry pump. Three types of long cylindrical bags for building or heightening of levees, mattresses for protection against direct water impact or land slide and building-brick bags for closing of breakdown were tested in laboratory and in pilot case studies.
