The reactive compatibiliser BMI has been used to form a composite of PCPW/60 wt.-% magnesium hydroxide with 100% improved tensile strength relative to the uncompatibilised control. BMI was also able to usefully enhance the properties of a composite based on calcium carbonate and the polyolefin waste.
