In the framework of an off-lattice model of ternary system, we investigate one monolayer of two bulk-immiscible adsorbates A and B with negative and positive misfit relative to the substrate, respectively. Equilibrium Monte Carlo simulations show that the adsorbates on FCC(111) surface self-organize into droplet-like pattern in contrast to structure with alternating stripes obtained in the case of surface of simple cubic lattice. Dependence on the relative misfits, on interaction between components, and on concentration of components is similar in both cases. We atribute the variance in patterns to different symmetry of the interaction related to the different symmetry of the lattices.
