In this chapter, we will describe important natural and semisynthetic lupane triterpenoids with significant cyototoxic effects on cancer cell lines of different histogenetic origin. The main emphasis will be placed on the synthetic derivatives of betulinic acid, the most important cytotoxic agent among lupane triterpenes and betulin, the most readily available natural lupane from natural sources.
