Studie se zabývá vztahem císaře Rudolfa II. (1552–1612) ke křesťanské kabale. Ukazuje na zásadní rozdíl křesťanské kabaly od kabaly židovské, stručně shrnuje její vývoj a ukazuje na její provázanost s dalšími hermetickými naukami renesance. Ukazuje, nakolik byl zájem o ni u Rudolfa II. spojen se zájmem o magii a alchymii a rekonstruuje ideové pozadí setkání rabbiho Löwa s císařem na Pražském hradě roku 1592.

The study is focused on Emperor Rudolf II´s (1552-1612) relationship to Christian Kabbalah. Moreover, it shows the difference between Christian and Judaic Kabbalah, briefly summarizes its development and points to the interconnection between Christian Kabbalah and other Hermetic sciences of the Renaissance period. In the text is also described, how much of the Rudolf´s interest in Christian Kabbalah relate to other fields of his interest, Alchemy and Magic. The author also reconstructs the ideological background of a meeting between Rabbi Loew and Emperor Rudolf that happened in 1592 and took place at Prague castle.
