Publikace přináší četné studie k dějinám vědy a humanitních disciplín, a to zejména pro tyto oblasti: česko-francouzská spolupráce na poli matematiky, vědci v exilu (ve vztahu k československému a českému vývoji), vývoj české historiografie před rokem 1989 (osobnost Františka Červinky), recentní vývoj v oblasti dějin vědy (vznik a činnost Výzkumného centra pro dějiny vědy). Svazek je doplněn dalšími studiemi na různá témata a bibliografickými soupisy.

Publication brings numerous studies on the history of science and humanities, in particular for the following areas: Czech-French cooperation in the field of mathematics, scientists in exile (in relation to the Czechoslovak and Czech development), development of Czech history before 1989 (historian František Červinka), recent research of the history of science (creation and contribution of the Research Center for the History of Sciences and Humanities).
