The application range of epoxy resins is limited by their low toughness and also insufficient stiffness. Present study indicates the potential of simultaneous application of hyperbranched polyesters or functionalized liquid nitrile rubbers and organophilized montmorilonite to upgrade properties of epoxy resins.
