    In this paper we studied abilities of Marsh fritillary (Euphydryas aurinia) disperse for long distances and both within bochov system (Single population) and among all known colonies (multiple populations). We confirmed the assumption that the magnification of monitored area will increase the chances to capture a really long movements. In the study of multiple populations, we managed to detect 51 f movements exceeding 5 km (41 males and 10 females) and 14 movements exceeding 10 km (13 males and 1 female). Average length of life-time movements and slope of dispersive functions show a significant variance between individual systems and this is indirectly confirmed the findings of the determining influence of patchy configuration. Predictions of dispersion capability from areally restricted areas can underestimate the total mobility.
