This book deals with the structures partially or fully rested on elastic or elastoplastic foundation . Its focus is on the theory and practice from the point of view of mechanical, civil and mining engineering, geology, military, physics, mathematics and programming. Linear and non-linear problems of straight and curved beams and frames, plates, shells and volumes on elastic or non-elastic foundations are solved as statics and dynamics (analytical and numerical approaches, shape optimalisation, FEM, Finite Difference Method, probabilistic approaches, own or commercial software etc.). In this book participated 34 authors from the Czech Republic (24), Slovakia (5), Taiwan (2), Bulgaria (2) and Poland (1).
