The study represents a unique application of fictional worlds theory to the phenomenon of the Czech realist novel. The means having been developed within theory of fictional worlds are modified to the specifics of realist topics and narration. As a result, the study introduces a model of Realist Fictional Worlds which serves as a therotical tool central for the investigation of the Czech realist novel.
