Literární lexikografie od sklonku devadesátých let prochází proměnou, kterou s sebou přináší nástup nových digitálních médií, zejména internetu. Zásadní posun nastal především v úloze hesláře při konstrukci lexikografického díla: digitální slovník nevzniká odshora naplňováním předem vymezeného rámce, ale je otevřenou a postupně rostoucí strukturou, jejíž souřadnice autoři slovníku předem neznají.

Since the end of the 1190s literary lexicograpy has been undergoing a tranformation brought on by the advent of the new digital media, in particular the Internet. The author argues that a fundamental shift has taken place particularly in the role played by the chice of headwords in the construcion of a lexicografical work. The digital dicotionary is not made „from the top down“ by filling in a pre-determined framework. Rather, it is an open, gradualy growing structure, whose coordinates are previously unknown to the authors of the dictionary.
