The paper deals with the lubrication of the human ankle joint in walking. The mathematical model indicates that during walking, similarly to running, the joint operates in a mixed lubrication mode (a combination of the boundary and fluid film lubrication), but as compared to running, with a major emphasis on the boundary mode.

Článek pojednává o lubrikaci kotníku člověka při chůzi. Matematický model naznačuje, že při chůzi, podobně jako při běhu, kloub operuje ve smíšeném modu (kombinaci mezné lubrikace a lubrikace kapalinovým filmem), ale ve srovnání s během s větším důrazem na mezný modus.
