Po vítězné bitvě v Teutoburském lese v roce 9, v níž porazil tři římské legie, nařídil cheruský kníže Arminius utnout římskému vojevůdci Varovi hlavu a tuto nejcennější trofej zaslat markomanskému králi Marobudovi do Boiohaema. Ten však dar nepřijal a hlavu poraženého legáta zaslal do Říma císaři Augustovi k důstojnému pochování.

The article addresses a historical event from the year 9 AD. At that time, following the victorious Battle of Teutoburg Forest, in which three Roman Legions were defeated, the Cheruscan chieftain Arminius called for the head of Roman commander Varus to be severed and sent to Marbod, king of the Marcomanni, in Bohemia. However, Marbod rejected the gift and instead sent the head of the defeated general to the Emperor Augustus in Rome for a dignified burial.
