Die Autorin beschreibt den heutigen Zustand der Kenntnissen über die Bibliothek der österreichischen adeligen Familie Beck von Leopoldsdorf am Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts und erklärt die Möglichkeiten der weiteren Forschung. Im Grund des geplanten Projekts liegt das Studium des bisher noch nicht ausgenützten Bibliotheksinventar, der relevanten Archivsdokumenten und der im Wege der Durchsuchung verschiedener Bibliothekskatalogen gefundenen aufbewahrten Bücher. Das Ziel ist die komplette Analyse dieser intelektuallen Büchersammlung im Vergleich mit anderen adeligen Bibliotheken in Böhmen und Österreich.

The contribution outlines the current state of research on the library of the noble Austrian Beck von Leopoldsdorf family from the late 16th century, considering also its prospects for further research. The objective of the planned project is a complex conceptual, typographic, linguistic and chronological analysis of the book collection based on the not yet scientifically examined inventory. It's also aimed at mapping of the current state of preservation of the Beck's exemplars in various, mostly Swedish libraries. The project will also include a particular comparison with other Czech and Austrian libraries of the intellectual collectors from the second half of the 16th century.
