Kniha přináší především samotný text části Itineraria (32 úvodních kapitol) františkánského misionáře Remedia Prutkého (1713-1770) v podobě jeho kritické edice. Velmi se tak usnadní všem budoucím badatelům studium díla v latinském originále. Edice byla pořízena na základě rukopisného autografu, majetku Provincie bratří františkánů v Praze, uloženého v knihovne františkánského konventu u Panny Marie Sněžné v Praze. Itinerarium patří mezi nejvýznamnější díla ze souboru rukopisných pramenů, jejichž autory jsou členové svatováclavské provincie řádu menších bratří sv. Františka, kteří působili v průběhu 18. stol. na misiích v Egyptě nebo Etiopii a dosáhli významného postavení v misijní hierarchii (Jakub Římař, Remedius Prutký, Kristián Schneider).

The book presents primarily the text itself of part of Itinerarium (the first 32 chapters) of Franciscan missionary Remedius Prutký (1713-1770) in the form of a critical edition. It thus greatly eases the work of all future researchers in studying the work in the Latin original. The edition was acquired on the basis of a manuscript autograph, the property of the Franciscan Brothers Provenance in Prague. The Itinerarium ranks amongst the most important works from a file of manuscript sources, the authors of which are members of the St. Wenceslas provenance of the order of lesser brothers of St. Francis, who were active during the course of the 18th century on missions in Egypt or Ethiopia and attained a prestigious standing in the mission hierarchy (Jakub Římař, Remedius Prutký, Kristián Schneider).
