Photosynthetic photon flux density PPFD incidenting on a canopy of two spruce stands with different densities and PPFD penetrating below the canopy and bellouw an upper part of the canopy were measured at the study site at Bily KrizMoravian-Silesian Beskydy Mts.,the Czech Republic during the 1999 growing season. Transmittance of the canopy was calculated and analyzed for the whole scale of incident PPFD.
