Anotace
The paper is the introduction for the Discovery Challenge workshop taking place during the ECML/PKDD 2004 Conference in Pisa, Italy. The workshop was concerned on the analysis of the longitudinal twenty years lasting primary preventive study of risk factors of the atherosclerosis in middle-aged men (STULONG) by the methods named Data mining. The short description of the study, description of the collected data and the analytical questions for the knowledge discovery are given.
