However, the major point often omitted by designers is to determine the optimal frequency band from the perspective of the sample to be probed. Here we present an overview about our recent work on molecule level-based approaches to understand the electromagnetic field-biomatter interaction. The major significance for biosensing is that these approaches enable prediction of the frequency bands where the largest change of the real or imaginary part of the permittivity is taking place. Hence, the sensing device can be designed to operate at such optimal frequency range and sensitivity can be maximized. We believe that this approach is crucial for rational design of devices for sensing biological and chemical systems Pracoviště Ústav fotoniky a elektroniky Kontakt Petr Vacek, vacek@ufe.cz, Tel.: 266 773 413, 266 773 438, 266 773 488 Rok sběru 2022 Elektronická adresa https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9639510
