Advances in computer technology make possible a transition from current structural reliability assessment methods to probabilistic methods using the simulation technique (such as SBRA method documented in [1]). This study focuses attention on the reliability assessment of steel structures containing semi-rigid joints. The SBRA reliability assessment approach is explained and compared with the Partial Reliability Factors method, PRFM, applied in codes.
