Řád alžbětinek je kromě nemocniční péče významný též svou hudební kulturou. Z pramenů hudební sbírky a dochovaných archivních dokumentů konventu a nemocnice na Novém Městě pražském vyplývá, že řád udržoval kontakty s řadou mimopražských kantorských osobností, které přispívaly svými opisy i kompozicemi do řádového hudebního fondu. Jedním z nich byl Zikmund Václav Suchý z Lužce, který pro klášter vyhotovil desítky hudebnin. Hudební a opisovačská činnost o generaci mladšího kantora Jana Slavíka a jeho dcer Anny Colety a Augustiny Agnes je do určité míry svědectvím úrovně hudebního vzdělání kantorů i jejich žáků.

The Elizabethan nuns are distinguished not only for their hospital work but also for their music culture. From the sources of the music collection and from the preserved archive sources of the convent and the hospital in the New Town in Prague it follows, that the order was in touch with many cantors out of Prague, who contributed with their copies to the music collection of the order. One of these was Zikmund Václav Suchý from Lužec, who made tens of musical pieces for the monastery. Music and copying activity of a younger cantor Jan Slavík and his daughters Anne Coleta and Augustine Agnes is to some extent a testimony of the level of the musical education of the cantors and their students.
