Článek objasňuje hlavní teze o vztahu politiky a filosofie ve starém Řecku, jak jsou obsaženy v knize Hannah Arendtové Vita activa. Zaměřuje se především na důsledky objevu ideálu teoretického života pro chápání politiky a na filosofické pokusy o odstranění politického jednání jeho redukcí na jiné typy činností, jako je zhotovování či práce.

The article expounds the main theses about the relationship between politics a philosophy in Ancient Greece set forth in Hannah Arendt’s book Vita activa. The author focuses on the consequences which had the discovery of the ideal of theoretical life for the understanding of politics and on the philosophical efforts to eliminate the political action by reducing it to other kinds of human activities such as work or labor.
