Opevnění vnějšího areálu budečského hradiště bylo zkoumáno v r. 1941 M. Šollem (v severní části předhradí) a v r. 1984 A. Bartoškovou (v západní části, poloze Na kašně). Předmětem příspěvku je: 1. Předložení nové verze stavebního vývoje vnější hradby včetně její rekonstruované podoby v severní části budečského předhradí; 2. Stanovení vývojových fází opevnění v západní části předhradí; 3. Předložení chronologické interpretace vývoje raně středověkého osídlení a opevnění vnějšího areálu hradiště; 4. Komparace vývoje vnějšího a vnitřního opevnění hradiště Budeč.

The fortifications of the outer grounds at the Stronghold of Budeč were studied in 1941 by M. Šolle (the northern part of the castle foregrounds) and in 1984 by A. Bartošková (the Na kašně location at the western castle foregrounds). The subject of this work is therefore: 1. The presentation of the new version of the building development of the outer fortifications, including its newly reconstructed appearance in the northern castle foregrounds; 2. The determination of the development phases of the fortifications in the western castle foregrounds; 3. A presentation of the chronological interpretation of the history of the early medieval settlement and fortifications of the outer grounds of the stronghold; 4. A comparison of the development of the outer and interior fortifications of the Budeč stronghold.
