U příležitosti stoletého výročí Betty Friedan a v připomínce jejího přínosu k myšlení feminismu (stejně jako jejích vybraných diskutabilních aspektů) autor upozorňuje, že paradoxně vzhledem k 150 letům tradice feminismu v českých zemích a po jeho několika vlnách, feminismus byl v českém literárním prostředí druhé poloviny 20. století silně marginalizován. K teoretickému uchopení tohoto jevu mu slouží pojetí zraněných přilnutí a zraňujících identit / identifikací (pojetí vypracované feministkami Wendy Brown a Judith Butler): zatímco, na jedné rovině byla veškerá energie disentu, undergroundu a exilu (jak autorů, tak – s jistými výjimkami - autorek) upřena k jednomu tématu, jímž byl odpor k tehdejšímu politickému režimu, unikalo mu téma jiné, a to téma genderové rovnosti.

Upon comemmorating the hundred years anniversary of a birth of Betty Friedan and summarizing both her contribution to feminism as well as her selected difficult traits, the author points out that in the Czech context, after more than 150 years of feminist legacy in several waves (of equality, difference etc.), feminism has been driven to the margins overshadowed in the now canonical literary fiction of the second half of the twentieth century. To grasp this phenomenon theoretically, the author employs concepts of wounded attachments and injuring (injurious) identities, coined originally by Wendy Brown and Judith Butler, arguing they while fighting back against the then official regime ruling Czechoslovakia between 1948-1989, the dissent, underground and exile literature (both by male authors, as well – with few exceptions – female ones) inadvertently suppressed feminism and gender awareness in the given context.
