Mobility and movements are closely connected to the people. People were mobile part of prehistoric archaeological record, they were wandering around for various purposes. For the regions and periods where remains of ancient populations are present are bodies of people most important source of information on their mobility, especially when using various isotope analysis. Unfortunatelly there is a waste territory in central Europe where are almost completly missing burials and/or human remains during Mesolithic period. Main source of information are lithic assemblages and most of them come from surface survey, or often has poor information on its stratigrafic position. So it was necessary to approach mobility and territoriality in different way. Usually we are trying to understand organisation of Mesolithic territories and movements through three main tools: 1) Spread of raw materials, 2) Similar tendencies in lithic technology, 3) Landscape archaeology, site typology. Within territory of Central Europe is the most elaborated first method. Sources of the raw materials are quite well known and so it is used to define territories where we can see quite long distance contacts. This way of defining territories has its limit and it is describing only one aspect of material culture. To find more objective perspective on this topic it is necessary to involve also other mentioned methods. Within this paper will be presented usual way how mobility is understood within territory of Central Europe with special regard to the territory of former Czechoslovakia, after this theorethical introduction will be presented some examples how recent finds improved our view on the territoriality, especially presence of marginal areas within studied country.
