This issue aims at identifying and analyzing continuities and novelties within the Egyptian political life. The state, once threatened by the revolutionary mobilization, is trying to stabilize its environment again. The current situation is not a mere return to the Mubarak’s system: the events of 2011 triggered a process of reshaping the state-society relationship, and this process will probably last a few more years. The articles gathered in this volume give an overview of the expression of social demand, the reform of the institutions, and the elaboration of public policies in Egypt, under the rule of Abdel Fattah al-Sissi.This issue aims at identifying and analyzing continuities and novelties within the Egyptian political life.
