Dolní Věstonice II. Chronostratigraphy, Paleoethnology, Paleoanthropology. A complex publication of an extensive and important Gravettian site presents the course of earlier (1985-1990) and new (1999-2012) excavations. Processing of the accumulated material was realised by a team of specialists from Czech Republic, France, Germany, UK, USA, Poland, Slovakia, and Spain. The individual chapters start from the site-structure, geology, stratigraphy, paleobotanics, archeozoology and continues to presenting the various types of archaeological materials. One of the unique features represent the human burials and skeletons of Homo sapiens, submitted here to new anthropological, dental-anthropological and paleogenetical analyses.
