Magnetic nanoparticles of manganese perovskite La1-xSrxMnO3 could find use in biomedical applications (MRI or MFH). These nanoparticles have several times higher relaxivity and higher heating efficiency than the commercial product based on iron oxide. In addition, heating the particles can be managed very well by appropriate setting of Curie temperature (Tc) which reduces the risk of overheating and damage of surrounding healthy tissue. For industrial production it is very important to prepare large quantities of these nanoparticles at once and optimize the process. Nowadays, we usually prepare about 50 g, which is ten times more than in laboratory scale. Our target is to improve current mechanical treatment of nanoparticles including rolling and milling after annealing and prepare larger amount of magnetic cores suitable for encapsulation by silica which can be applied in medicine. This is very problematic part of the process because yield after encapsulation is only about 20 %.
