Značení jednotlivých textů Starých letopisů českých písmeny abecedy bylo zavedeno F. Palackým. Jak vysvětlil, užití písmen vyjadřuje jejich stáří a příbuznost. Stejné velké a malé písmeno vyjadřuje vztah mezi texty, proto předpokládáme, že mezi texty malé "b" a velké "B" existuje vztah. Ccílem studie je prozkoumat a definovat tento vztah z hlediska lingvistického. Text malé "b" byl otištěn v první půli 19. století, navíc by několikrát opsán v 17. a 18. století více či méně známými lidmi. Těmto verzím bude rovněž věnována pozornost.

The marking of individual texts of Staré letopisy české (the Old Czech Annals) with letters was introduced by F. Palacký. As he explained, the use of letters expresses the age and affinity of the texts. The same upper-case and lower-case letter suggests that there is relationship between texts. Therefore, it is assumed that there is relationship between texts marked with "b" and "B". The objective of this study is to research and define the relationship from the linguistics point of view. The "b" text was published in the first half of the 19th century; in addition to that, it was copied in the 17th and 18th centuries by several more or less famous people – attention will be paid to these versions of the texts as well.
