In the context of the education of aristocrats in the Early Modern period, the article deals with an unsuccessful attempt of the Bohemian Benedictine Congregation to found a college of Nobles in Prague in 1743–1745 and analyses the text of the preserved inauguration speech that was to be held by Prof. Magnoald Ziegelbauer OSB.
