Článek se zabývá analýzou frontispisu vyskytujícího se v celkem sedmi variantních vydáních děl Antonína Viléma Broučka a Antona Bruodina, vytištěných v arcibiskupské a jezuitské tiskárně v Praze v letech 1663-1664, resp. 1676. Tyto obsahově příbuzné spisy prezentovaly v českých zemích formou učebních textů, tezí i vědeckého pojednání učení známého františkánského středověkého filozofa a teologa Johna Dunse Scota (1265/66-1308). Poznatky získané analýzou dávají nahlédnout nejen do dobové knihtiskařské a mědirytecké praxe, ale poodhalují i vztahy mezi autory a jejich mecenáši a patrony řádu z řad vysoké zemské šlechty.

The article analyses a frontispiece occurring in a total of seven variant editions of the works of Antonín Vilém Brouček and Anton Bruodinus, printed in the archiepiscopal and Jesuit printing houses in Prague in 1663–1664 and 1676. In the Czech lands, these writings related in their content presented, in the form of teaching materials, theses as well as scientific treatises, the teachings of the famous medieval Franciscan philosopher and theologian John Duns Scotus (1265/66–1308). Not only does the information gained through the analysis provide insight into the professions of book-binders and copperplate engravers at the time, but it also reveals the relations between the authors and their sponsors and Franciscan patrons from among the high nobility.
