In der Literatur über die Spätlatènezeit und die frühe römische Kaiserzeit kann man oft der Ansicht begegnen, dass verschiedene latènezeitliche (keltische) handwerkliche Produktionsstätten in Mitteleuropa zu Beginn der Römischen Kaiserzeit weiterhin tätig waren und die frühgermanische Produktion in den Jahrzehnten um die Zeitenwende stark beeinflusst haben. Oft wird vom sog. keltischen Erbe gesprochen.

In the literature about the late La Tène period and the early Roman period we can often meet the view that different La Tène (Celtic) craft workshops have worked in Central Europe at the beginning of the Roman period onwards and have strongly influenced the early Germanic production in decades around the turn of an era. It often speaks of the so-called Celtic heritage.
