New primary explosive, the silver salt of 4,6-diazido-N-nitro-1,3,5-triazine-2-amine (AgDANT), was synthesized and characterized. AgDANT was prepared with a 97% yield and characterized by IR spectroscopy, single-crystal Xray diffraction, and DTA.
