    The first part of the text is devoted to Bernardino´s conception of beauty, analysis of his opinions about artworks and spreading of Bernardino´s symbol for the name of Christ. The second part concerns the situation in the Czech lands: the cult of pictures of Bernardino and John Capistrano; the dispute between the Franciscans and the Utraquists and the propagation of their themes in art.
