Studie se zabývá dějinami komeniologického časopisu Acta Comeniana (do roku 1969 vycházel pod názvem Archiv pro bádání o životě a díle J. A. Komenského) v letech 1957-1993. Analyzuje institucionální zázemí časopisu, síť autorů i obsahovou náplň. Na základě dochované redakční (a další) korespondence si všímá vědecko-mocenských sporů o směřování časopisu a cenzurních zásahů. Sleduje i neúspěšný pokus o "znormalizování" časopisu na počátku 70. let. Srovnává obsahové zaměření Act s časopisem Studia Comeniana et historica a vymezuje místo časopisu v kulturně historickém bádání a intelektuálních dějinách raného novověku.

An article deals with the history of a journal for Comenius Studies Acta Comeniana (until 1969 it appeared with a title Archiv pro bádání o životě a díle J. A. Komenského) in the period 1957-1993. The author analyses institutional background, the network of authors and contents of the journal. Thanks to the extant correspondence of the editorial board he deals with the scholarly and political struggles regarding the profile of the journal and with the question of censorship. He also discusses unsuccessfull attempt to subordinate the journal to new ideological control at the beginning of the 1970s. Finally the author compares contents and profile of the journal with Studia Comeniana et historica and situates the journal within the cultural and intellectual history of the early modern period.
