From the area of Iran we report the following species: Bolboschoenus glaucus (Lam.) S. G. Sm., B. affinis (Roth) Drobov, B. schmidii (Raymond) Holub, B. planiculmis (F. Schmidt) T. V. Egorova and B. maritimus (L.) Palla. The taxonomy of the B. affinis group and B. maritima is discussed in detail.
