We present the intermodal dispersion (IMD) determination from the transmission spectrum of the twin-core fibre (TCF). The obtained value of IMD is in agreement with theoretical estimate from the refractive-index profile of the fibre under test. The value measured by spectral method was further verified by investigating the pulse splitting in the fibre laser resonator that contained a section of the TCF sample.
